VBS 2025
Thank you for serving in our preschool! Because of you, these kiddos get the opportunity to learn the same things that their older siblings are learning, but at their own level and pace.
VOLUNTEER INFO
WHERE TO GO
When you arrive at 8:30am each day, please go to the Student Center to check-in. Then, you will go to the Preschool Hallway where Rachel will direct you to the appropriate classroom.
POINT OF CONTACT
During VBS, our Early Childhood Coordinator will be your point of contact for anything you need. Here is her phone number to program in your phone incase you need it.

END OF DAY
Children should be picked up by parents around 12pm. When all the children are picked up, you are free to leave!
DAILY SCHEDULE
DROP OFF & FREE PLAY (9:00AM-9:30AM)
Teachers are to place each child’s ‘teacher tag’ in their book as a child is dropped off. Help children find something to play with.
GAMES & BATHROOM BREAK (9:30AM-10:00AM)
Go to the STUDENT CENTER and follow the directions of the games leader. Encourage children to use bathrooms before leaving.
SNACK (10:00AM-10:30AM)
Go to the CAFE and the snack volunteers will pass out snack and water.
CRAFT TIME (10:30AM-11:00AM)
Return to their HOMEROOMS. Lead the children sit down create the daily craft and read the daily story aloud.
DEVOTIONAL FROM KAZOO & TV WORSHIP (11:00am-11:30am)
VBS Mascot, Kazoo, will visit classrooms and do a brief devotional. Kids will dance to worship songs.
SNACK & free play (11:30am-12:00pm)
The snack volunteers will bring snacks to each HOMEROOM. The children can eat snack and enjoy free play until pick up.
CHILD PICK-UP (12:00pm)
For an adult to pick up a child, they MUST have the pick up tag that has a matching code to the child’s name tag. If the adult does not have a pick up tag, alert staff.
POLICIES & PROCEDURES
CHILD DROP OFF
When a child is dropped off by their parent/guardian, the parent will have 3 tags:
Parent Tag: they keep this to pick up their child
Child Tag: Child wears this
Teacher Tag: You put this in your book
gather needed info from parent
Ask the parent if there is any special instructions they have for their child. Instruct parents to place any belongings their child has in the cubbies located outside of the classroom.
DIAPER CHANGES
Some of our 2-3 year olds may not yet be potty- trained. Diapers should be checked every hour and changed when necessary. Changing table and supplies found in your HOMEROOM.
STAY TOGETHER
You are the shepherd of your flock. Keep your group together at all time. No sheep are allowed to wander from the group.
BATHROOM POLICY
Adults can never be in a restroom with a child. If you need to go into a restroom with a child, ask another adult to come with you. See map for bathroom locations.
FOOD ALLERGIES
All provided snacks are gluten, dairy, and nut free. If a child has allergies outside of these, they were told to bring their own snack. These self-provided snacks will be with the snack volunteers in the kitchen.
CHILD PICK-UP

INJURY
Every injury must be reported to staff.
