how long is the performance?

The performance is 5 minutes long and occurs in the Main Auditorium right at the beginning of each service on Sunday, December 21st.

WHAT IS IN THE PERFORMANCE?

The performance is a medley of 5 scripture readings and 3 traditional Christmas songs. The scripture readings are performed by individual kids, but the songs are performed as a whole ensemble. Each song will have easy choreography that the children will do while they sing.

WHAT IS THE PARENT INVOLVEMENT?

We require parents to attend all rehearsals and performances with their child. If your child is in 7th grade or older, you are allowed to drop off your child for rehearsals as long as they are attending youth group immediately following the rehearsal.

WHAT WILL PERFORMANCE DAY LOOK LIKE?

The children’s performances will be: 9:00am-9:05am & 10:30am-10:35am.

After each performance, your child can either stay with you or you can drop them off in their Children’s Ministry classroom.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO PRACTICE AT HOME?

We ask that kids have the entirety of the performance memorized prior to rehearsal day, including the lyrics, hand motions, and scripture reading (if they have a scripture reading solo).

WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO WEAR ON PERFORMANCE DAY?

The dress code for our Kids Choir is any appropriate clothing in this color scheme: red, green, white, gray, or black.
