High School Student Involvement

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT INVOLVEMENT

Did you know that you were created to make a difference? As a high school student, you can be a huge part of the solution to all the problems in this world. How can you get involved right here so you can reach your full potential? Here are some ways:

• Attend Velocity Services - This is our "big group" gathering. Join other high school students each week in the Student Ministries Room at 5:30pm for a time of pizza and friendship, live music, awesome teaching, and discussion around the day's topic. This usually ends around 8:00. Afterwards, we'll all go to Culver's or Sonic to hang out and party!
• Get involved in a small group - You're not meant to do this life alone! For this reason, when you come to Velocity, we'll hook you up with some other students your own age that you can get to know and learn about God with. Be sure to get to know them and make these your best friends!
• Serve - Join "U-Serve," our student serving program! As a U-Serve student, you'll have a chance to help out on the weekends in LIFE Kids, as a greeter, at the snack bar, in the band, or in tech: wherever you are going to get the most out of it! Serving is a great way to grow spiritually, because it teaches us to focus on others instead of ourselves.
• Train to become a leader - Each year we nominate and interview students to be a part of LeaderTreks, our student leadership program. This is extremely selective and only 6 students are admitted each year. Do you have the potential to become a leader? Let an adult leader know and they'll help you figure out what to do next.
• Attend Events - We always have awesome events going on. Check out the church calendar or the "Happenings" page to find out what's going on.
